Concerto Competition
Dates and Information

Each year, the GBYO sponsors a Senior Concerto Competition for its senior members. Winners will appear with the GBYO in one of the season's concerts. Applications can be printed from this site and mailed to the manager by August 1st.

Biennial Piano Competition

The GBYO sponsors a Piano Concerto Competition every other year.  Our Piano Concerto winner for 2007 is Joseph Mohan.

Auditions will take place in 2009 for our 2009-2010 season.

All participants shall be, at most, high school juniors. The participants must prepare to perform by memory one movement of a concerto plus a short piece of a lyrical nature (more or less 5 minutes) on the date of the audition.

One winner will be chosen who will be a soloist with the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra in the gala opening of the following season.
